We watched Vision of the Future (Microsoft). Impressive! We worked with Titanpad to show how a document could be built collaboratively with a group to write a story or to have fast class input on a question. This would get more class response than the traditional raising of hands.  Skype can be used to work with others while creating a document. Sketchup was mentioned for design purposes for grade 8-12 and Picasa for posters or to make a video. Today Marian, Amber and I prepared a Google document and a Google Presentation for Steps to Reading.  I borrowed a few books. Then we used my camera and Marian took pictures of Amber and me to illustrate the steps we had outlined for Steps to Reading.  We learned a lot by using the camera and adding the pictures to our presentation. We each had the documents open and at times were editing simultaneously and had to wait until the other person was done. We entered the e-mail addresses so the presentation and document are shared in our Google documents. Marian was a great director!
